Terms of Service

CO-OP is a tool-sharing service operated by Lasser Design LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using CO-OP, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

What CO-OP is

CO-OP is a platform that helps friends and communities share physical items like tools, books, and household goods. You can list items you’re willing to lend, browse what your friends have available, and coordinate borrowing and returning.

Your account

CO-OP is currently invitation-only. When you receive an invitation and create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Invitations

Access to CO-OP is granted through invitations. When you invite someone, you are vouching for them as a member of the community. We expect you to invite people you personally know and trust. Do not sell, trade, or distribute invitations to strangers, bots, or in bulk. We reserve the right to remove any user from the service, along with any users they have invited, if we believe the invitation system is being abused.

Acceptable use

You agree to use CO-OP in good faith. This means:

  • Be honest. Accurately describe the items you list and their condition.
  • Be respectful. Treat other users and their property with care.
  • Don’t abuse the platform. Do not use CO-OP to harass others, distribute spam, scrape data, or for any illegal or malicious purpose.
  • Return what you borrow. Honor your borrowing commitments and return items in the condition you received them.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove your account at any time if we believe you are violating these terms or acting in bad faith.

Your property

CO-OP helps you coordinate sharing physical items with other people. We do not take possession of, insure, or guarantee the condition of any items shared through the platform. When you lend an item, you do so at your own risk. When you borrow an item, you are responsible for taking care of it and returning it.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, theft, or disputes arising from items shared through CO-OP. Any arrangements you make with other users — including what you lend, to whom, and under what conditions — are between you and them.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post on CO-OP, including item descriptions, photos, and messages. By posting content, you give us permission to store and display it as part of operating the service.

The service itself

We do our best to keep CO-OP running and reliable, but we make no guarantees. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or shut down CO-OP at any time, with or without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lasser Design LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of CO-OP. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of property, or interruption of service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify you. Your continued use of CO-OP after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
