To add an item to your catalog:
- Go to My Catalog from the navigation
- Click Add Item
- Fill in the item details
- Click Save
Item details
When adding an item, you can provide the following information:
Name (required)
A clear, descriptive name for the item. Be specific enough that friends can find it when searching.
Good examples:
- “16-foot extension ladder”
- “KitchenAid stand mixer”
- “4-person camping tent”
Less helpful:
- “Ladder”
- “Kitchen stuff”
- “Tent”
Description
Additional details about the item that might be helpful for borrowers:
- Brand and model
- Size or capacity
- Condition or any wear
- Accessories included
- Any quirks or usage tips
Location
Where you keep the item. This helps friends understand logistics before requesting a loan.
Examples:
- “Garage”
- “Basement storage”
- “Kitchen pantry”
- “Shed in backyard”
Location is visible only to your connections, not the public.
Editing items
To update an item’s details:
- Go to My Catalog
- Click on the item you want to edit
- Click Edit
- Make your changes
- Click Save
Removing items
If you no longer want to lend an item, you can remove it from your catalog:
- Go to My Catalog
- Click on the item
- Click Edit
- Click Delete Item
Note: You cannot delete an item that’s currently on loan. Wait for it to be returned first, or contact the borrower to coordinate.
